Hello from UK!

Hello! Well, ran out of funding so am in UK trying to find a way to get back to make more libraries and develop exisiting ones! Am in Scotland. Any ideas gratefully accepted!!! Got to look around BookAid International HQ last week in London! Really cool! Work permit is renewed and medical insurance also so all set to go home to Kenya!

Exploring future possibilities

Greetings everyone!

I'm a Master's student in Library Science at the Catholic University of America. Two of my interests in the field are medical and international librarianship. I'm hoping to find opportunities to volunteer/network with African libraries after I graduate next year. Picking up librarians in Dar

I arrived in Dar es Salaam yesterday. The main purpose of the visit is to collect Kathy and Mona from the airport, two librarians from Vancouver Central Public Library. Kathy has been involved in the library work here since one year after the Kwekitui library was established. She has been acting as a librarian consultant by putting together a manual to help our newly trained young librarian in Kwekitui and then collecting and sending various library supplies.
